Travel Revamp coming with Game Update #56
Coming with Game Update #56, currently scheduled for May 25, 2010, we will be seeing a revamp to our current travel system. I have explored it a little bit over on test.
The first most noticable difference is the travel interface. No matter what mode of transportation you are using, bell, druid portal, wizard spire, etc., you will have a map pop up with all of your possible destinations for the transporation device you are using. The following is the travel map you get when using a bell to travel Norrath.

The bell graphic that will accompany this travel map has also been changed. Instead of the old bell graphic, you will find a new Norrath World Bell that will open up your Journey Through Norrath travel map.
The old world bells do still remain in Qeynos and Freeport for use with travel in and around these cities. With this revamp, they have made moving through these two cities a bit easier, by combining all the main city area, villages, and the outlying areas. Also with this change, West Freeport now has a bell destination. When traveling to West Freeport using the bell you will zone in near the bank. To leave West Freeport, just head across the way to the arena and you will find both an inner city and world bell to use.
A few zones that were not accessable by bell travel will now be available via the world bell. Greater Faydark has a bell where the Sinking Sands Carpet was. Butcherblock Mountains will land you near the griffon on the dock. To leave Butcherblock via the bell you will need to go to the end of the Nektulous Forest boat dock. Moors of Ykesha uses the airship dock. Kylong Plains and Timerous Deep use the bells that were perviously used to travel between KP and TD.

Spire transportation has broaden with the revamp. The destinations available via a wizard/warklock (player) and the Overrealm spires have been combined. In addition to that, destinations have appeared in Kylong Plains (Teran's Grasp) and Stonebrunt Highlands (Nexus in Quel'ule). Spire destinations:

Druid transportation hasn't seen any changes to destination, they are all the same. The change to the druid rings is that the shrubs we use to have to harvest so we could teleport to that ring are now used to open a travel window to allow you to travel to any of the other druid rings. Druid destincations:

Inner zone transportation, whether it be horses, carpets, clouds, sokokars, or balloons have still have all the same destinations. The connections between these destinations seem to have remain the same as they currently are. (Though I was not able to check the balloon stations, as my level 26 was not able to use the cannon to get across the way). The only exception to this that I found was in Greater Faydark, where destinations have been added for Loping Plains and Lesser Faydark to was already there.
Four zones, that previously had no inner zone transportation has seen an addition of stables. Everfrost, Feerrott, and Zek have recieved horse mount stations, while Steamfont had hoverpad stations.
Everfrost has three stations: Bitterwind Trench, Hollowfrost Grove, and Icegill Lake. All stations are safe for lower level toons. All three of these destinations are inner-connected and can be accessed from any stations.

Feerrott has 7 stations: Drowning Causeway, Alliz Evol, Greenblood River, Tae Ew, Tower of Vul, Alliz Tae, and Dread Basin. Alliz Evol, Tower of Vul, and Dread Basin can be deadly to anyone who is not of the appropriate level to be there, as there are wandering mobs around them.
These stations are not inner-connected. Feerrott destinations are as follows:
- Drowning Causeway -> Alliz Evol
- Alliz Evol -> Drowning Causeway, Greenblood River, or Tae Ew
- Greenblood River -> Alliz Evol or Tae Ew
- Tae Ew -> Alliz Evol, Greenblood River, or Tower of Vul
- Tower of Vul -> Tae Ew or Alliz Tae
- Alliz Tae -> Tower of Vul or Dread Basin
- Dread Basin -> Alliz Tae

Steamfont Mountains has 4 stations: Butcherblock, Loping Plains, Klak'Anon, and Gnomeland Secuirty. All stations seemed to be safe.
These stations are mostly inner-connected, Butcherblock is the exception to that. Steamfont destinations are as follows:
- Butcherblock -> Loping Plains or Gnomeland Security
- Loping Plains -> Butcherblock, Klak'Anon, or Gnomeland Security
- Klak'Anon -> Gnomeland Security or Loping Plains
- Gnomeland Security -> Butcherblock, Loping Plains, or Klak'Anon

Zek has 5 stations: Warship Docks, Three Toes Valley, Refuge, Defiled Forest, and Bridge of Zek. Only Bridge of Zek is unsafe for those who are not of the appropriate level for the area.
These stations are not inner-connected. Zek destinations are as follows:
- Warship Docks -> Three Toes Valley
- Three Toes Valley -> Warship Docks or Refuge
- Refuge -> Three Toes Valley or Defiled Forest
- Defiled Forest -> Refuge or Bridge of Zek
- Bridge of Zek -> Refuge
