For Anybody That is interested OOC and Lost Souls of Eci' is planning this raid for friday oct.10. We will be forming the raid at 6:15 to 6:30 central time and plan on starting the raid at 7:30 central time. please sign up with character and class if interested. right now we have 9 people commited. so if interested please sign up. it will be a good experience for the guild and also really nice loot plus if you have your fabled epic we are going for some mythical updates also. If anyone wants to know it is an epic x4 raid with Tarizia the Widow Mistrees as the boss of the zone. she is a big ole spider that with these special attacks
AoE : Fearsome Gaze - magic DD (2k) and Stun (8 seconds) every 20-30 seconds Necrosis - Disease Lifetap (1k) every 10-15 seconds Spawns a Digestive Sac on a random raid member : crushing DOT (750 every second) + Perma Stun (The sac dispawned when killed (75 000hps) This is the strategy to kill her and survive the zone: This is really a burn fight. Tairiza spawn "sacs" approximately every 30 seconds. These sac will land on a random person in the raid which will incapacitate them as well as kill them over time. Have ranged DPS and healers to the left or right of the door with a Ranged DPS main assist calling the sacs and making the ranged dps cycle between killing the sacs then immediately back on the named. Melee DPS needs to stand right under the big butt of the Widow Mistress and target the mob directly and BURN IT DOWN. If a sac spawns on melee dps or the Main Tank it's easy for the Melee dps to just TAB, burn the sac down, then resume beating the spider. At approximately 40% she spawns a group of spiders. Once this happens pretty much ignore the sacs and focus the burn on the mob. A zerker or strong AE'ing offtank needs to try to get as many spiders beating on them as possible. NOTE: The spider adds are immune to all taunts. Another option if you have multiple Enchanters is to mezz them. We still do it that way. Either way you want to burn Tairiza as fast as possible once the adds start. If you have big spells/CAs with long recast timers, make sure you save them for that final push. Once the spiders pop everyone in the raid target the named directly and just BURN BURN BURN. Some people will die. They need to revive and get back in. AE's will burn a lot of the spiders down, but prolly not all of them so once you kill the named kill the remaining spiders and loot the metal chest. Look forward to seeing you all RDNKREBEL right now this is who i have commited. Unfortunately I am unable to attend due to the time difference. However, I have a couple of suggestions for future raid posts. Advise the type of raid setting eg, outdoor, castle, dungeon etc. There are lots of raiders who love a good dungeon crawl but absolutely hate underwater stuff for example. What type of mobs are you likely to be fighting? Most people jump at the chance to fight a proper dragon. Is it a raid x 2 or x 4 encounter? What classes do you need? You will always need a good class balance, 3 tanks, 5 dps and 1 healer is not an ideal raid party. How long is the raid expected to take? The last thing you want is people to start leaving an hour before the end due to being too tired. Just a few ideas. I"d like to offer that we progress through the difficulties of raiding gradually. So far we have successfully killed a level 80 x2 name. Next could be more of the same along with some of the simpler kingdom of sky x2 and x4 content.
When we feel comfortable with that we can get into stuff like Emerald Halls. Thats one I've been curious about for a while now. That one and other faedwer raid zones would be good. Then we could try the simpler Kunark zones and then finally the difficult Kunark zones. 2 coins for the fountain, Saint |

I"d like to offer that we progress through the difficulties of raiding gradually. This is a great idea! Starting small and working up is the best way to proceed. I guarantee that even with the "smaller or easier" stuff we're still going to struggle. There are some of us who have raided, whether it be this game or another, whether it be with guild or as a guest of another guild, but the raids work out differently depending on the make-up of the raid members. I know OoC in EQ1 went from a guild that couldn't do raid content, to one that was able to put together a raid group and clear the zones. We weren't able to go through the raid zones at the same rate and pace as raiding guilds, and are progression through the content took longer, but we did succeed. When we finally managed to succeed at killing Trakanon it was sweet success for us. I think, that if we have enough interested people between OoC and E'ci that we could achieve the same success. But it requires willing people, patience, and practice - LOTs and LOTs of those last two. Also, finishing off the guild raids, each one they have set up deals with a different type of situation. We've managed to succeed with the three of the raids so far. There are 2 more that I know of for sure. The other thing we can do is go back to the lower level raid zones, we have people lower level people we can mentor to, and working on those raids would be good practice as well. I have a raid timeline progression. I'll find it and post it under the raid discussion section. -------------------- ![]() |

I would like to particpate in some more low level guild raids..
I enjoyed the ones we have done and would like to learn a bit more about roles, and strategies. -------------------- Honor is not always convienient, but it does pay a substantial dividend.
